Local food banks: please help if you can!
This year we've all seen the impact of an unexpected natural event wreak havoc on our own doorsteps.
I have also seen the impact on our patients, most of whom are from working families. Of course, it has also impacted on our own livelihoods as well as those of family and friends.
However, I was particularly moved by stories and reports of people from our local community having to resort to food banks, especially at this time of year. Most of them are families I did not expect to be in that predicament.
I know we've all had a tough time recently but could I please urge you to consider making a donation to the Trusell Trust who have 3 food banks serving our communities in the Paisley area.
I spoke to one of the organisers at the Renfrewshire Foodbank, Millie, and apparently, it costs only £25 for a food parcel for a single person inc essential toiletries etc.
The team at Complete Dentistry have donated a four figure sum to try and help; we're part of the community so we felt the need to help.
