Dental Implants
Implants are an increasingly popular method of replacing missing teeth. We can now replace failed teeth without having to resort to dentures or bridges (which generally involves electively damaging the adjacent teeth). A titanium post is placed in the jaw bone to support a replacement tooth and this acts like the root of a natural tooth. Implant treatment commonly has two stages. First, the implant is placed in the jaw. When the jaw has healed and the implant integrated, replacement teeth are attached to the implant.
Implants create the most natural and life-like solution to a missing tooth. The result is virtually indistinguishable from your other teeth and in a very short space of time, it will likely feel completely normal.
Implants can also be used to support fixed bridges or dentures.
